Jangi-gol, the place with the harmony of culture, arts and the nature, is located in the provincial area with the natural advantage. We can see wild flowers in full bloom on the way to Jangi-gol. At the end of the road, there is a playground of a closed school. Statues of a reading girl, a boy with a torch and King Sejong are placed on the playground, and the old goal post with weeds possesses a charm of its own. A large plane tree looking like Baobab tree creates the artistic atmosphere.

Jangi-gol is a space for cultural and artistic experience which was opened in 1996. Using the closed elementary school in Jangwoe-ri, Seosin-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, one-day programs, two-day programs, student camp, diverse workshops and corporate training programs are operated. Programs targeting children of pre-school ages and primary school students include pottery making, natural dyeing, natural herb soap making, tofu making, modern etiquettes, tea ceremony, candle making, martial arts, Pungmulnori lessons and Pungmulnori performance programs.

Participants of the pottery making program learn and practice making cups and dishes. Participants of the natural herb soap making program learn about types and efficacy of herbs and make their own soaps by adding essence oils, lavender, herbs and plants to ingredients of natural soaps. Participants of the natural dyeing course create beautiful colors using natural materials such as wormwood, yellow mud, Cape jasmine and sappan wood. Participants of the traditional martial art program learn how to use wooden swords and marital arts demonstrations of members of the 24 Marital Arts Conservation Society. During Pungmulnori programs, participants learn how to do Samulnori and have a performance. Programs on modern etiquettes and tea ceremony feature rules of a bow, right manner, etiquettes, tea-drinking etiquettes and rules of the tea ceremony. Jangi-gol also operates tofu making, candle making and Korean papercraft programs. Korean papercraft program is operated around the year, and participants learn how to make Korean paper and great craftwork with the paper.
Participants of the one-day course can usually complete one program, and those of the two-day course can complete two or three programs. For accommodation fee and tuition, please contact the office. The programs are operated for pre-school children and elementary school students.

The programs are operated at a closed elementary school. The school with 12 classrooms, a playground with the area of 991㎡, the surrounding area of over 660㎡ and the forest of over 6,600㎡ serves as a perfect venue for operating the programs. There is an experience center that can accommodate up to over 200 participants, as well as an outdoor classroom and a traditional pottery kiln. There is a forest right beside Jangi-gol, providing a perfect place for a walk.

Jangi-gol hosts Jangi-gol Culture and Arts Festival every year, which features diverse genres of artistic activities including performances, exhibitions and plays. Natural dyeing exhibition, Ongi Maksabal Exhibition, and Play of Rice written by Kim Ji-Ha were held.

Jangi-gol is located in Seosin-myeon, which is well known for grapes. There are vineyards on both sides of the way to Jangi-gol. The grape picking program was also operated jointly by Jangi-gol and a neighboring grape farm. Jangi-gol operates special programs by season.
