A scholar and politician during the middle period of Chosun dynasty, Jeong Saho made great achievements in defeating Japanese forces during their second invasion in 1597 as the Chief officer of Andong, together with the forces of Myong dynasty and had been appointed five times to the post of Daesaheon (the Chief Prosecutor) of Saheonbu since 1601. He also successively served the post of Guanchalsa (the Governor) of Hwanghae, Gyeongsang, Pyeongan and Gyeonggi Provinces. As the combined minister of Yijo (Ministry of Government Affairs) and Dongji Chunchu, he also participated in editing the chronicles of King Sejo.

Honourable MokHaengSun's Grave Boundary

Original tombstone is made of white barble scale of 133cm height, 61cm width, and 20cm thickness. For bullet marks from Korean war, it was hard to decipher. So, in May, 1985 it was renewed with new roof which is black marble scale of 150cm height, 55cm width, and 24cm thickness.

Mok Haengseon, a Civil officer during the middle period of Josun dynasty, passed Civil Service Examination in 1633 AD, and administered benevolent politics serving successively the posts of Daesaseong of Gyeonggi Province and Guanchalsa of Hwanghae Province.

Monument commemorating the death of Yoon Gye (Gyeonggi-Do Tangible Cultural Property No 85)

Yoon Gye died in defense of his loyalty while fighting enemies without giving up as a Namyang Deputy-delegate during Byungja Horan and later conferred as Ijochampan after his death and awarded with the title of Choonggangong. The epitaph was created by Song Siyeol and written by Song Joongil and constructed in the 9th year of King Hyunjong.

Grave of Baek Cheonjang (Gyeonggi-Do Monument No 86)

It is a grave of Baek Cheonjang, a scholar during Goryo Dynasty. Baek Cheonjang passed the civil service examination as a Jinsa and consecutively served as Hanlim Haksa and Jeongdang Moonhak and studied in Yuan in China and served as Ibusangseo, Geumjagwangrokdaebu than came back to Korea and conferred as Susungbaek.

Pocheon has the appropriate environment for the oyster mushroom. Pocheon is the best for harvesting and keeping oyster mushrooms because it has a lower average annual temperature than other regions, and more days of frost. It is also good for cultivating oyster mushrooms in summer because the farming facility is in a mountainous area. Pocheon produces the oyster mushroom, the specialty of Pocheon, the biggest producing district in Gyeonggi-do. Furthermore, Pocheon can deliver fresh mushrooms all year round because of its proximity to Seoul, the highest consumption area.

Ginseng is the representative healthy food in Korea. Pocheon produces 6-year ginseng in the appropriate climate (including sunshine and the right temperature) as the farming hub in the northern region of theHan River in Korea. Furthermore, the productivity is higher than other regions because of the superior scent and shape. Pocheon also has the competitiveness of production including more ginseng farmers, higher cultivation technologies and a mass production facility.

Suwon Galbi

Suwon is famous for its galbi (beef ribs), one of the favorite Korean dishes, which appeals to food lovers. Try the unforgettable taste of beef ribs marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, pear juice, sesame seed oil, garlic, green onion and roasted sesame salt, and broiled over charcoal.

Suwon Galbi originated from "Hwachunok" which was a restaurant managed by Lee Gui-seong in Ssajeong Street of Yeongdong Market in the 1940s. Now, there are 30 restaurants designated as a model Galbi house in Suwon that serves the traditional beef ribs marinated and charbroiled.

The traditional Suwon Galbi is famous and special for its rich flavor, tender meat and generous portion. In particular, the marinated sauce which is seasoned with roasted sesame salt, and the charcoal broiling which deepens the sauce with flavor and tenderizes the meat gives Suwon Galbi its unique taste.
