Yeoju’s logo symbolizes “Jumping into the future from a stable platform of green land”. The dynamic blue oval represents the soaring sprit of the Yeoju people, clear waters, clean air, the beautiful surrounding nature, and the harmonized minds of our inhabitants. Five white ovals beautifully represent the shape of the
famous Yeoju rice served to Kings. Two curves linked to the center of the oval represent the brave spirit of the Yeoju people marching into the future. The green oval represents Yeoju’s extensive fields, rich soil, maternal land and the Yeoju people's hearts of gold.

located in the southwestern part of Gyeonggi,Yeoju borders Wonju (Kangwon) and Chungju (Chungbuk) to the east, Icheon to the southwest,Gwanju to the west and Yangpeong to the north. Many highlands are found in Yeoju as extension of Mt. Gwangju and Namhan river runs through from southeast to northwest of
Yeoju area creating a basin. Except for the basin area near Namhan river, most of the terrain consists of low (300~400m) hilly areas and forests and land takes 54.2% of the whole terrain, one of the highest percentages in Gyeonggi. Namhan river serves as an excellent water traffi c, contributing to Yeoju’s status as the major
rice trading center. Yeoju is also famous for its ceramics and many ceramic festivals including Yeoju Ceramic Exhbition that opens around in April~June and World Ceramic Biennale in every odd year.

Yeoju is working on an industry family cluster project which aims to pave entrance road for companies, to support the mid-small sized fi rms with facilities and funds and to promote academy-industry family cluster project. Following Jangan Industry Complx in Jeomdong-myeon, Gangcheon General Industry Complex and Samgyo General Industry Complex in Gangcheon-myeon Ganmae-ri and Bondu General Industry Complex in Ganammyeon are to be completed by 2011.
