Name: Jojongam
Location: Daebo-ri, Hamyeon
Management Organization: Wang Jong-nak ( 031-585-1281)
Designation No.: Provincial Monument 28
Designation Date: September 5, 1975

Information

Jojongam depicts all the stone inscriptions, tombstones and platform remains. The tombstones are erected right in front of these stones and there is a daetongmyo for holding sacrificial rites near it. In front of this, the clean and clear Jojongcheon (Riv) flows along the mountain bends.
It is said that in the 10 th year of Sukjong in the Joseon Dynasty, Wooam Song Si-yeol inscribed Samusa , which was from the handwriting of the king of the Ming and also inscribed quotes from Hyojong, according to his request to Lee Jae-doo, at the designated location.
Accordingly, various scholars such as Lee Jae-doo, Heo Gyeok and Park Hae-myeong came together to inscribe passages from their forefathers and hold sacrificial rites.
The reason why Jojongam was erected here was because of Jojongcheon (Riv.). The Korean meaning of Jojong is that several rivers come together to become a sea and also is symbolic of feudal lords having audiences with the emperor. Therefore, this location was established to become a place of worship.

Information

This was the house of Jinam Lee Cheon-bo (1698~1761), who was famous for riding around a black cow. Lee Cheon-bo was the prime minister of the Joseon Dynasty during the reign of Yeongjo and he was famous as a literary man with outstanding writing skills.
This structure was rebuilt in the 4 th year of Gojong (1867) and was destroyed during a fire during the Korean War, leaving only the servant ' s quarters and the detached house. Unlike the flat form that appears in Gyeonggi areas, the detached house was in the shape of a ' - ' and had six partitions in the front and one and a half partitions to the south, and faced east. Its skeleton was composed of a high pillar and crossbeams, while a square beam was placed on the side to support the house rafter. This wooden structure is estimated to have been built during the reign of Gojong and the wood is relatively well arranged and the spatial configuration is also well though out.

Hyeundeungsa 3-story Jijin Pagoda

Name: Hyeundeungsa 3-story Jijin Pagoda
Location: Hapan-ri, Hamyeon
Management Organization: Hyeundeung Head Priest (031-585-0707)
Designation No.: Provincial Cultural Property Material 17
Designation Date: February 25, 1975

Information

The foundation stone for this pagoda is a two-layered supporting layer and the joining of the four edges can be clearly seen. The body stone and the roof stone are both made of one stone and a corner pillar is expressed on the body stone of the pagoda. Beneat the roof stone is a roof support and the second story is made of four layers, while the third story has three layers. The water drain slope is relatively small and the protruding corners flow horizontally and drop sharply towards the edge.
Legend has it that Jijin Pagoda got its name when a Bojoguksa, a high priest during Heejong of the Goryeo Dynasty, discovered a light from the stone lantern and that he wanted to use the energies of the Hyeundeungsa Temple while reconstructing the temple that was closed for several centuries.

Information

Unaksan (Mt.), which is 935m above sea level, was designated as the sixth of the eight scenes of Gapyeong. Just like its name in Korean, it has a beautiful view of magestic rocks seemingly poling holes into clouds. It is also home to Hyeundeungsa ( Temple ) as well as Baeknyeonpokpo (waterfall) and Nunsseob-bawi (rock).
At Manggyeongdae, which is the summit, visitors can get a bird ' s eye view of Hyeonri city to the left of Neungsan at the south and towards the back all of Pocheon can be seen. Visitors can also get a glimmer of Myeongjisan and Hwaaksan to the north. Unaksan is the most beautiful of all mountains in Gapyeong-gun and hikers can enjoy the charm of mountains, valleys and forests all at once. In addition, visitors can enjoy the serene calm at the thousand year old temple, Hyeundeungsa.
A small tavern at the foot of the mountain awaits visitors with rice wine, tofu, acorn-starch jelly, and other delicacies.

Further information is available from the Announcement/News section of the provincial website (www.gg.go.kr).

A government official said, ??¡ÆThis initiative is expected to generate synergy effects because foreign-invested companies will be able to enjoy professional services at moderate expense while the private companies will have an opportunity to find potential customers and publicize their services.

Inquiry: Investment Promotion Division – Tel) 8008-2735

"Business/News" 카테고리의 다른 글

Gyeonggi Province Supports Administrative Work... (0)2010/08/27

Gyeonggi Province Invites Chinese Investment (0)2010/08/16

Gyeonggi Province to Attract Overseas Capital f... (0)2010/07/19

Ansan Reeds Wetland Park

- The Ansan Reeds Wetland Park was born with the return of migratory birds to once-dying Shihwa Lake. Here one can enjoy the picturesque scenery of reeds. - GNewsPlus

The Ansan Reeds Wetland Park is a large artificial wetland that was created to improve the quality of water that flows into Shihwa Lake by way of Banwolcheon, Donghwacheon, and Samhwacheon. On the extensive wetland of 1,037,500§³, reeds and aquatic plants with excellent natural purification abilities have been planted to remove noxious materials from wastewater. In the midst of the Reeds Wetland Park is the Environmental Ecological House, in front of which is an ecological pond that contains water purified by the wetland. Flourishing around the pond are irises, yellow bunchflowers, water lilies, mulsari, and loosestrifes. Inside the park, various trees from the central districts have been planted, while the wild flower road surrounded by wild plants and flowers and the promenade provide a view of the beauty of the wetland. Throughout the wetland, which abounds with reeds, migratory birds such as ducks, white herons, avocets, sheldrakes, and egrets can be found.
