Pyeongtaek Lake Resort

Description
In December, 1973, construction was started to connect Gwongwan-ri, Hyeondeok-myeon, Pyeongtaek City, and Mowon-ri, Inju-myeon, Asan City, with a 2,564m-long embankment. The Pyeongtaek Lake created along the embankment contains as much as 98,980,000 tons of water, making it one of the largest artificial lakes in Asia. The lake itself is very attractive for its rich waters, and the surrounding area also boasts lush forest and has many facilities including a picnic site, a natural trail, and convenience facilities as well as yacht club and a pleasure boat. It is a good place for families to have a one-day trip. As one side of the embankment is the sea and the other side is the lake, you can enjoy a diversity of nature. The lake abounds with carp and has become a good fishing spot year round.
