Mt.Bukhansan

Description
This mountain, one of the most famous in Gyeonggi Province, stretches from Seoul and Goyang to Uijeongbu. It was designated as the country's 15th national park in 1983 and once known by different names such as Hansan or Samgaksan. The mountain has magnificent peaks like Insubong (810m), Baekundae (836.5m) and Mangyeongdae (799m), and the area surrounding Nojeokbong boasts some of the most beautiful scenery. The mountain was called Samgaksan (meaning "triangle") because the three peaks of Insubong, Baekundae, and Mangyeongdae form a triangle when seen from a distance. In addition, there are the Bukhan Sanseong Fortress built in 1711, the 37th year of King Sukjong's reign of the Joseon Dynasty, and "King Jinheung's Royal Tour Monument," which indicates that the area once belonged to the territory of Silla Kingdom.
