INTRODUCTION
This is the best restaurant for Yeonpotang. Its Yeonpotang does not have a unique
scent of a small octopus and is cooked with a small octopus, short-necked clams,
mushrooms, leeks, dropworts and onions. Without additional ingredients, it is cooked
only with bittern. Nakjibokeum(fried small octopus) has a spicy but fresh taste. And it
tastes better when Baek Kimchi(white Kimchi) and Mu Kimchi(radish Kimchi) are
served together.

INTRODUCTION
This is one of the best restaurants in Ilsan. Decorated with antique items and
wallpaper, it creates the warm and feminine mood. Only Korean beef is used for its
menu. Also, you can taste Cheonggukjang(fast fermented bean paste stew), three
kinds of salads, Japchae(mixed dish of Chinese noodle, vegetables and sliced beef),
Sogogimussam(beef with rolled radish), and vegetable.

INTRODUCTION
This food features shoulder loin wrapped in bay leaves. This loin is fermented in
fruit juices and wine, and then grilled over hardwood charcoal fire. It has tender
and plain flesh, and so is enjoyed by many gourmets. Eating it with cool watery
radish Kimchi called Dongchimi, and another watery Kimchi called Hang-a ri Mul
Kimchi, Gangdoenjang(a kind of stew, but little watery soybean paste sauce),
Doenjang jjigae(a soup featuring Korean fermented soybean paste), and handmade
bean curd provided as side dishes tastes better. A white and long rice cake
called Garaeddeok grilled over fire, and a cup of coffee are provided as a desert,
while a wine bottle, bean curd factory, and a pond are another are a sight to see.

Over ten herbal materials and glutinous rice, gingko nut, jujube, and chestnut are stuffed into the duck’s stomach, and the duck is wrapped with cotton cloth and a foil, and roasted in the Dogani. This restaurant boasts 50-year history of an eel food as a specialty. This food
features cultured eels bought from Gunsan, Jeonbuk, and a sauce using over
20 herbal materials such as licorice root, Angelica gigas, etc. These combinations
are broiled in hardwood charcoal fire. It tastes plain and tender in meat quality.
Side dishes like cabbage Kimchi, and soybean sauced crab, and Doenjang
jjigae is neat and simple. Comfortable place like a private villa and the oriental
painting, and antique furniture catch customer’s eyes.

Built during the reign of the Joseon Dynasty’s founder, King Taejo, the “Goyang Hyang-Gyo” produced many promiment sholars over the following 500 years.
A great ritual called Seokjeondaeje is carried out here every 27th day of August (Lunar), and memorial tablets for many famous ancestors in the Joseon Dynarty as well as Confucius of China are placed here.
