If you wonder what traditional Korean houses and lifestyles were like, don’t miss a visit to the Korean Folk Village. This outdoor folk museum is a global tourist attraction that has perfectly restored the traditional Korean lifestyle. Since various aspects of traditional Korean culture can be viewed and experienced in person, this folk village is one of the must-see tourist destinations in Korea. Because it’s often used as a filming location for TV dramas and movies such as ‘Dae Jang Geum,’ you may even meet a TV star here if you are lucky. In addition to the scenic natural setting, the Korean Folk Village features many convenient facilities such as a world folk museum and youth hostel as well as a Yangbanga (aristocrat’s house), Nongga (farmhouse), Hanyakbang (traditional medicine pharmacy), Jangteo (market), art gallery and museum.
