1. Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site
Located in Suwon City, Hwaseong Fortress was constructed by King Jeongjo to honor and house
the remains of his father, Prince Sado. It also served as a line of defense south of the capital.
Construction began in 1794 and required the use of new methods to move and stack the large blocks. The beautiful fortress is renowned for its scientific construction.

5. Lake Park in Goyang, Ilsan
